We are a community arts organization founded in 2006 to advocate and create arts-based neighbourhood revitalization. 

Brantford Arts Block Overview 

The Brantford Arts Block is charitable community arts organization in Brantford, Ontario, Canada, with a vision to be a centre of creative activity in Brantford and surrounding communities that stimulates, catalyzes and encourages imagination and artistic growth.  Our core goal is to enhance the publics understanding of the importance of arts, culture and creative thinking.  We operate a downtown community arts centre which provides exhibition, performance, studio and work space for artists of all ages and skill levels. The centre also acts as a producing facility, partnering with other organizations to showcase artists in unique settings around Brantford.

Mission:
The Brantford Arts Block aims to enhance the public’s understanding of the importance of arts, culture and creative thinking by:


• Fostering a sense of pride in our unique artistic and cultural similarities and differences.

• Engaging local community groups to encourage meaningful artistic collaboration.

• Embracing all forms of art and artistic expression.
• Encouraging experimentation, exploration, and artistic growth among artists and non-artists of every age and skill level.
   

Goals:

• To educate and increase the public's understanding and appreciation of the arts by providing performances of an artistic nature in public places, senior citizens homes, churches, community centres and educational institutions and by providing seminars on topics relating to such performances.
• To provide instructional seminars on topics related to the performing and visual arts.
• To produce performing arts festivals for the purposes of educating and advancing the public's understanding and appreciation of performing arts and to educate artists through participation in such festivals and related workshops.
